"I was disappointed with our stay at Gloucester Robinswood Hotel. Check-in was very slow, and there were groups of teenagers hanging around the lobby which didn’t create the best first impression. Our room had no air conditioning, which was particularly uncomfortable during the 35°C heat. When I asked at reception for a fan, I was simply told they had all been distributed around the hotel, so there wasn’t one available. As our room was on the ground floor, we couldn’t safely leave the windows...

"Lovely position overlooking the countryside. Quiet position off a country lane. A traditional country house with comfortable lounge areas & a restaurant serving good food. The breakfast was delicious. Would return."

"Almost everything about this stay was excellent. I would say that some of the interior is in need of maintenance (sagging floors) and one bathroom was tight spacing. The parking was not available but we were able to get parking nearby."

"The room was very clean , comfortable bed and crisp white linen and towels. Lots of hot water for a nice hot bath . The lady on reception was very friendly and welcoming. We arrived late in the evening so didn't drink in the bar. The breakfast was brilliant, good quality produce and good coffee. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and attentive. "The room was adequate for our overnight stay. The shower was really good and all the basic usual were there. The welcome from Nadine was excellent as well as the rest of the staff. We really enjoyed the breakfast, thank you Chef. Overall the Linden Tree is a good, basic stopover, especially if staying overnight after watching the Cherry and Whites."
