"Booked a room for Motel 6 as we were trying to escape the chemical leak issue in Garden Grove, CA. Try to check in and were only then told that air conditioning is broken throughout their entire facility. Rep at Motel 6 (online video Rep) says he will cancel the reservation and I need to contact Hotels.com and let them know that Motel 6 cancelled my reservation and that Hotels.com would contact them and they would confirm the cancellation so I can get a refund. Well, Hotels.com says they tried to call but nobody answered but would follow up. Next day, I get message from Hotels.com that they could not validate the cancellation. So now, I’m screwed out of my payment for the stay that I did not even take/use. Both Motel 6 and Hotels.com has been a huge disappointment. I notified my credit card company to dispute the charges, as I paid for a room that I did not even use and one that was not acceptable by any means, given the fact that their air conditioning was broken. Again… both Motel 6 and Hotels.com has been a huge disappointment and unless fully resolved, may end up never using Hotels.com again."
