"The location was super convenient to the Royal Gorge train ride; within easy walking distance. Front desk was helpful. The rooms are old, but they were very clean. The hotel was very quiet. We just spent one night there. The price was reasonable. I would recommend it as a place to stay. If you want fancy lodging with swimming pools and hot tubs and hot breakfast then this would not be the place for you. If you want a convenient location and a place to spend a couple of nights, this is the place for you!"

"Please provide me a complete refund for this stay. When we arrived, the suite was dirty. There was feces left in the toilet from the previous guest, and the TV stand was sitting awkwardly in the middle of the room. For a suite, there was also nowhere to properly unpack clothing because there were no dressers. The room itself felt very run down and even unsafe in places, including broken tile near the bathtub. The toiletries were empty and appeared to have been that way for quite some time. The hotel also could not provide many very basic necessities: no crib or pack-and-play for our baby no extra pillows because they had run out no extra towels because they had run out no washcloths in room no housekeeping services available during the stay The key cards deactivate incredibly easily if they come near a cell phone, which resulted in three trips to the front desk for me alone, and I watched several other guests dealing with the same issue. Don’t get excited about “breakfast”. It’s next to the front desk and is a tray with coffee and 1-2 choices of prepackaged muffins. The pool area was another disappointment. There was so much visible grime buildup that people had carved words and drawings into it around the pool. There were also broken tiles on the bottom of the pool, and over time, guests have started a growing pile of tiles on the side of the pool. Exact response from owner regarding above issues: “If you inform us right away, we could of try to solve the issue.”"

"The receptionists were excellent. The room was ok. So after losing at the casino, we came back to the room and the TV doesn't work. Called the front desk and they are having trouble some of the TV's, and the IT tech has left for the weekend. So nothing will be done while we are there. We asked to move to a room with a different room with a working TV. Saddly it is all of the TV's. The Receptionist told me how to unplug the box for 30 sec and try it again which I did. It did'nt work. So then I turned of the charge bar on the wall behind the TV, nothing happen. So the next morning I gave it one last try and it worked as we were leaving. I know I won't stay there again."

"If you want the 1950s experience, this is for YOU! Stay where John Wayne and other western stars slept but don't expect this to be a modern facility. Could NOT get a diet drink any where but there is a gas station within walking distance. The shower dripped a constant tap dance that had a great beat. And be sure your traveling buddy is an intimate friend because the mattress will definitely roll the two of you together!"
