Kind of weird. Mother who ran the place has passed away so they only half open. Son tries hard but just kind of an odd situation. Our actual room was clean and comfortable but the rest of the house was kind of a hoarder situation.

Thank you for staying for the SLU Family Weekend. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear your room was clean and comfortable. We want to address your comments. You are correct, we have not fully reopened since my Mom's passing and are still adjusting to the situation. We recently decided to put the house on the market and have begun the painful process of sorting through decades of belongings and as a result, items are unfortunately temporarily being stored in common areas. I am sorry your stay was not what you were expecting.

Great communication with the owner Matt! (Before and thorough our visit.) He ensured he knew our breakfast hour preferences across our weekend stay. He was very willing to meet our foods requests as some of us had dietary requirements. Rooms were clean and with new bedding. Beautifully polished hard woods floors are a welcome sight for asthma sensitive guests.

Friendly lodging in the quiet county
All the comforts were thought out when this old farmhouse was gutted and modernized to make it a bed & breakfast; interior walls have sound proofing insulation, the plumbing is professional strength, and central air conditioning serves the entire house. The owners live on site and cater to their guests needs. Breakfast is at the time of your choosing and made to order. Given advance notice, the owners can get what you want for breakfast within reason for this rural area. The B&B is in the country about six or seven miles from SUNY Potsdam and Carlson University, and it is not far from Canton's colleges.

The owners were very patient with us as our check in time kept moving due to circumstances that occurred during our travel. We appreciated their understanding and kindness when we arrived. The location is rural but perfect for getting to any of the neighboring towns. As I have heard from others... 10 out of 10.. I would stay again.

Relaxed and Comfortable
The room was beautiful and super comfortable. The owner was easy to talk to and very accommodating. The living room is huge with lots of comfortable seating. Bonus...if you like dogs, they have three that you can love! But don't worry, if you don't like dogs, they keep them away unless you ask.

Warm cozy house to come home to
Friendly host greeted us at the door. Clean, comfortable, and private room made us want to settle in for the night. Hearty, homemade breakfast and bottomless cup of coffee kept us talking and lingering in the kitchen. We would return without a doubt.

Beautiful home
Check in was easy. Friendly staff. Home was very clean. The room was clean and large. Breakfast was really good. Close to Potsdam. Great stay. Would stay here again.

Close to Clarkson & SUNY Potsdam
This is a big old farmhouse, beautifully restored - modern, immaculate and very comfortable. Of course the two hotels in Potsdam are frequently booked, especially when there are events at the colleges, as was the case when we visited our daughter this past weekend. I'm so glad we found this B&B. The family who owns the house is very friendly and will do all they can to accommodate their guests' needs. There are different sized rooms - some can sleep up to four people. Highly recommend, and look forward to staying there again.
