"This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Aurora Inn. It is an older quirky kind of place. Clean. Cozy back patio, charming. We showed up on a holiday. The restaurant and bar were closed. Erica, the front desk manager got us beers from the bar and set us up on the patio. Helpful and friendly. The back entrance near the indoor pool has a strong odor of mildew. We always enjoy our stay at the Aurora Inn. "

"Requested a handicapped accessible room near the elevator or on the first floor. Was given a handicapped accessible room, but on the third floor, farthest away from elevator. Why would hotels even put one of their few handicapped accessible rooms at the end of the hallway, far away from the elevator? The magnetic key cards were horrible and barely let us in the outside side door, the pool, and our room, after countless attempts. Nice hotel otherwise. Would stay again as we like (need) the large rooms with three beds and two bathrooms."

"Overall, I found the room and facilities to be adequate. I would say there is a general lack of maintenance. The outside doors on the back of the building don't close or lock properly and the one luggage cart was falling apart. Only one ice machine was functional. To be totally fair, there was a sign out in front of the hotel advertising that they were looking to hire maintenance staff so I am sure they are trying their best to hold things together. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room had a smart TV but it was not setup with internet access so the smart features were not functional. The issue that seriously concerned me was the power setup for the nightstand lamp. The lamp had built-in outlets, and I plugged my CPAP into it. Several times during the night, I woke up to find the CPAP had shut off. For someone with severe sleep apnea, this is a serious and potentially life-threatening situation. I discovered the lamp’s cord was plugged into a wall outlet directly behind the mattress, where the plug was pressed against it. Each time someone moved or rolled over, pressure on the plug appeared to interrupt power to the lamp and its outlets. The outlet location and mattress position created a serious health and fire safety hazard. A 90-degree plug would likely correct the issue, but one was not being used. I had to move my CPAP to an extension cord connected to another outlet so it stayed powered overnight. This setup should be inspected and corrected."
