"Great area to stay. Nice walk from train station. The checkin was at another hotel and we had to backtrack to checkin. Walkable safe area. We were near restaurants, coffee shops, live music, shopping and historical sites."

"A wonderful stay in Parma!
I really enjoyed my stay at La Casa del Vino. The room was beautiful, and the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance of restaurants and the city’s main attractions.
Communication with the host was also great – friendly, helpful and responsive throughout my stay.
I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Parma!"

Our last hotel on our trip, so we went for comfort rather than quaintness. Its modern architecture would be out of place near the old town, so it's a bit of a walk there - but only 10-15 mins. Has its own area in the adjacent underground car park, free. Right next to railway station but no noise.
Parma not all that interesting: grim Piazza della Pace, dull duomo, interesting pink marble baptistry, quite lively youth culture. Best place to sample prosciutto (more succulent than from Tesco) and...

I arrived from Scotland with my 3 boys and we were booked into a Suite. Although ample space and comfortable there was a drip coming through stairs after having had a bath. I reported this to reception before we went out for the day. A few hours later the hotel receptionist called to ask if we'd move rooms. Bit of an inconvenience but we were upgraded to a Suite plus adjoining double room. We also had a jacuzzi as a bonus. Great way to make a situation better from the hotel to us.
