"A beautiful place nestled in the mountains, set in a charming, beautifully restored village. Its location is also ideal, roughly halfway between Elafonissi Beach and the Balos Lagoon, making it a great base for exploring both. Our room was a wonderful cottage, full of character and very comfortable. The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help. The restaurant was another highlight, serving truly outstanding dishes. A wonderful experience overall."

"When booked the hotel was described as a “resort” which is why we planned the detour to its location. Upon arrival there was no staff to welcome us - a text to the number on the locked door was quickly returned with a lock box code to grant us enterance to our studio apartment. Blue Horizon is in my favorite location in Palaiochora, overlooking the sandy beach. It is in a quiet position only a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants in the busy part of town. An brilliant extra that comes with the room is that you can use the sunbed and umbrellas on the beach opposite. The rooms are immaculate with gorgeous balconies looking out to sea.
