"We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel. The staff made us feel welcome and well looked after. There was a good choice of food for both breakfast and dinner, cooked to a high standard. Our room was spacious and clean, offering plenty of comfort throughout our stay. The only downside was that some of the furniture felt a little tired and could benefit from an update, but it didn’t detract from the overall experience. "Visited as we had a family funeral with the wake being held at the Bannatyne hotel. As a family we couldn’t recommend it more, we were given a room upgrade which was lovely. Breakfast was excellent with great choice for everyone. Would definitely stay again."

"Helpful staff and a relatively clean hotel cannot makeup for no air conditioning in rooms, which were stiflingly hot during our stay during a UK summer heat wave. Unfortunately the small plug in fan and safety-secured windows did little to alleviate the stuffiness and heat in the rooms. Overall it’s a lovely location with relaxing grounds but the aging decor in common areas, corridors and rooms is in desperate need of an update, even in the chosen eclectic style."
