(Parc de Montsouris) Boulevard Jourdan The International House was funded through a donation from the American philanthropist John D. Rockefeller Jr. Having devoted part of his fortune to restore the castles of Fontainebleau and Versailles, he was interested in the Cité Internationale. The idea was to build a common space to all the houses to encourage meetings and mixing. Arch. John Frederick Larson 1933-36.
