"Gute Unterkunft für ein langes Wochenende. Besonders gut hat uns die Sauberkeit und die Ausstattung in der Küche gefallen (Kühlschrank, Backofen, Herd, Geschirr). "Beautiful location, very clean room. Great view of the Moselle river and the surrounding spectacular landscape. Great dining and breakfast. Unfortunately we did not dine at the nicely set up white-linen Restaurant except breakfast. We were unaware (or did not read the fine prints) that we should have called ahead if we are arriving after 6 PM on the first night of check-in. We arrived late due to late start from Frankfurt. But the owners were kind enough to check us in. The only major draw back for us was the cigarette smoke which constantly made its way into the room and the hallway. Even though the owners assured us every room was a non-smoking room and a no-smoking sticker was on each room, a strong cigarette smoke from elsewhere in the building made it into our room and the hallway. I am very sensitive to the smoke and had a hard time with it. This rooms are great for smokers, but not really so good for people who dislike cigarette smoke and are with respiratory problems. The owners need to look into the smoke problem and remove the source of it. Other than that, it is a great place to stay."

"We were given an upgrade and the room was very nice, although the cost was very high at £180+ , which we assumed was due to the time of year. It was part of an 8 day trip which included 5 hotels and this was almost double the cost of the other, good quality hotels. The hotel and amenities are excellent and I would have awarded a higher rating for the ambience……however we were very disappointed with the set meal at £69 per head. We had invited my husbands mother to join us and felt that it wasn’t value for money. The bar was suffering from staff sickness and service was slow…..but the head barman was very good and apologetic for any inconvenience. Overall a very nice hotel, but expensive."
