Great location, although a bit noisy due to the subway station and the construction on the other side of the road, which made it hard to sleep without earplugs. Also very friendly staff! However, it was hard to reach anyone after checking out because I thought I had forgot something in the apartment.

Largest room I’ve ever had in New York - full size refrigerator, space to work out in the room, a good table to work at. Super easy commute into midtown via the 7 and E. Check-in - once you access the code - is fine and there’s cleaning every day. Beware that the nightly thumping from the club next door can be heard despite the ear plugs they provide.

Overall, this location was good. The room was clean and spacious, but there was a club/bar on the main floor, and you could hear the thumping of the bass throughout the night, even though the room was on the 9th floor. If you're a light sleeper, I wouldn't recommend this location.

Convenient location, very close to subway lines that take you to Manhattan in just a few minutes. Clean property with everything you need. A supermarket and diner are just a few steps away, with other restaurants nearby. The only downside: the nearby subway can be noisy — if you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs

Great accomodation for a week long stay. The location is perfect with access to multiple subway trains into Manhattan and to JFK, as well as many options for food and drink. The room was clean and spacious, especially the bathroom. Great having access to kitchen facilities even though we didn't end up using it much. Staff was helpful and the complimentary luggage storage was appreciated!

The room was surprisingly big and very clean. I loved having a little kitchenette to cook and save money. Staff was extremely welcoming and willing to help. Even after check out they let me store my bags so it was really stress free. The windows in the room were big and had lots of natural light. I loved my stay i can’t wait to come back again

Great location & bed comfy-beware of staff however

Staff is rude here, there was a Latina woman who was incredibly nasty and didn’t identify herself as a Sonder employee. I texted on Sonder app but wasn’t given any perk or explanation. The room was spacious and clean. It’s a quiet area. Near Trader Joe’s and lots of subway stops and trains. However customer service at this location must improve. I will avoid booking a room here again for that reason.

A very pleasant stay in Long Island City

Extremely nice apartment, fantastic location close to the subway and eateries. Full fridge, kitchen and very spacious for a nyc hotel room. Only complaint was low water pressure and no hot water (most generous would be to describe it as tepid) on both days. Somewhat disappointing given that everything else is so nice; hopefully it’s a temporary thing and will be fixed soon. I would stay here and in Sonder flats again.

We stayed in Long Island City to escape the Manhattan madness in the evenings, Sonder Court Square is in a great location, next to x4 subway lines, can be in Manhattan in 5mins on the 7 train. Near by there is a Target, Trader Joes, laundromat & lots of nice cafes. The room itself was nice, lots of room, comfortable bed. For longer stays having to pay $50 to get your room made up was disappointing, staying at Sonder is not cheap, for example we are spending the 2nd half of our trip in lower manhattan, the cost of our hotel is very similar & we get fresh towels & sheets everyday. Another issue was the noise from the trains & the air conditioning unit was very loud. Not a deal breaker though, if we were to come back to NY we would stay again, loved the slower pace of Long Island City, felt very safe.

I'll split my review into two parts - the property itself, and the service and check in process. It is a former Sonder property (Sonder infamously went bust in Nov 2025). I've stayed at Sonder before, always enjoyed it, and this one is among the top end of my stays. The entire apartment is spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, fully stocked kitchen, and spare towels that should last for a long term stay. It is good to see that such a nice property is being made available again for short term stays. On the other hand, the new management company (Bellevue District 6, seems to be part of OYO) needs to put more emphasis on providing a smooth guest experience. I had problems with check in (two different room numbers and two different codes provided, one via phone, the other via Expedia message), neither of which worked. Having called again, I was told that one of the codes is correct but to a third room. All good from there until the third day when the code stopped working and I again had to call and wait for a callback to fix the code. I saw other people also trying their codes on seemingly wrong rooms, or on the phone in the lobby to get access codes sorted. It's a great property, but since there is no front desk, the online communication with guests and providing timely and correct check in instructions should be the highest priority. Sadly there's quite some way to go for the new management to get it properly working. Hopefully it's just initial growing pains.

The check-in process was frustrating and unnecessarily stressful. The listing stated that check-in details would be sent by email 72 hours before arrival, but I never received anything. There was no front desk and no clear way to contact the property directly, so I had to reach out to Expedia for help. Expedia could only confirm my booking and couldn’t provide access details. After being on hold with customer service for over 25 minutes, I was finally able to get through to the property, and I didn’t receive my check-in information until about two hours before check-in, which was extremely inconvenient. That said, once I was finally inside, the room itself was great and honestly felt like a tiny apartment. The maintenance staff runs a tight ship and keeps everything super clean and well organized, which I really appreciated.
