Excellent location. Close to the metro with sea views. The fridge in your room an microwave in the common area was great. Only draw back was the building is from 1760 so no elevator. But the atairs helped work off all the calories you eat in naples.

We like the area very much, it was convenient for our purposes. Close proximity to take the to the port of Naples to take the tour bus to take us to Pompeii and the next day the ferry across to Sorrento, also very clean room & delicious breakfast, and excellent view from the balcony the castle and the port of Naples, also walking distance to restaurants & more We loved it. We will stay here again

This is a historic building, and you can tell on the ground floor, but once you climb the stairs the room is beautiful, the staff is so incredibly friendly and helpful! The breakfast option was amazing, they lightly knock on your door with it all served warm and you can open up the balcony and enjoy the view while eating. It was perfect

The location is very good, close to ports and metro train. The hotel itself is just a AirBNB style “Hotel”, considering the low price paid, that is expected. The room is excellent with very nice view. Simple breakfast is included. Don’t consider the hotel if you can’t climb 82 steps to get your room. Hotel .com should disclose the fact.

Amazing room at a great location

(FYI; this room is three floors up without elevator, wasn’t an issue for us, just a note if you have trouble walking in stairs) The room was fantastic, with a lovely view of the castle! Bed was comfy, room bright and nice. Lovely bathroom with gigantic jacuzzi. Nice breakfast served in room. If you’re going or arriving from Capri or Ischia this is perfect location as only 5 min walk from port. Staff was very friendly and helpful (they are not always there though) Overall great, would definitely stay again.

The location of the property is excellent given its proximity to the Port and transport hubs. We had a stunning view of the Port and Castle from our room. The staff were very friendly but professional at the same time and we felt vey well looked after - nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was varied and always delivered on time. Our stay at Hotel Main - Municipio was wonderful, and Salvatore truly made the difference! Even before we traveled, he was incredibly diligent — answering all our questions, connecting with us, and making sure everything was ready for our arrival. Every morning, he had delicious croissants prepared right on time, and he helped us with addresses and recommendations to enjoy Naples. His English was excellent (even though I was eager to practice my Italian!), and I was impressed by his ability to communicate so well and accommodate all our needs. The hotel itself was super clean, and the view from our room was simply amazing. Highly recommend staying here — and a big thank you to Salvatore for making our trip so special!

The room was spacious with a lovely view that could be enjoyed widely from the windows. However, since there is no elevator, climbing to the 4th floor (5th floor in the U.S.) can be very tough, even for someone healthy like myself, especially after walking around the city all day. If you are traveling with someone in poor health, it may be quite difficult. The staff kindly helped carry the luggage upstairs, but for early check-out, unless you request assistance in advance, carrying heavy suitcases down by yourself would be very challenging. The shower room was large, but since it was fully enclosed with glass, the body was completely visible while showering, leaving no privacy. This could be uncomfortable for parents and children, siblings, or friends traveling together. I strongly feel the hotel should provide at least a roll curtain or something similar for privacy. Housekeeping did come in, but unfortunately, no fresh towels were provided. Also, when I stayed in September, the flower in the room was a poinsettia, which felt a little disappointing as it seemed out of season. On the positive side, the breakfast croissants were excellent.
