"What a fantastic place to stay. All amenities available in the cottage. Clean comfortable and bigger than the pictures give it justice. Friendly welcome with milk and cookies. Large garden to rear of property. Great central location."

"The cottage is in a great location to access all parts of the island. Decor and furnishing are on the basic side, but this is more than reflected in the price. The garden has lovely views - a picnic table is provided but I suggest taking your own camping chairs for more comfy, longer term seating. The cottage is on a B road with some traffic at times but the noise was not intrusive, and was non-existent overnight. "The breakfast was a good variety of buffet style except the hot cooked full breakfast or part off, plenty of filter coffee and pots of tea. The staff, Debbie, Amy and Katy were all friendly and polite. Very professional and a pleasure to be served by them"

"Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us! Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away. Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve! We will definitely return."

"What a great find .. great location . Staff amazing go above and beyond. As many places these days all needs a bit of upgrade to building and rooms BUT the comfort especially the beds !! And the friendly hard working staff more than make up for it ..we felt relaxed, welcome and valued . Especially our not so well dog skye who was truly spoilt ... This is not the first time we have stayed at a Greenking pub amd hope as a company you reward your staff .. they are amaxing .... We will be back...
