The place was clean and quiet. The staff was friendly and helpful. It is very close to the Duomo and other important locations but not that many restaurants and cafes nearby. I highly recommend it if you just want a nice place to rest in a very good location.

Nice boutique hotel in a safe, shopping area of Milan - easy walk to sites and restaurants. Easy check in with a lift. Only issue was a/c was leaking and the floor was all wet. The girl came and looked at it but it kept leaking. Room was a good size and had everything we needed.

Prime location. Building entrance and corridor smells bad. Room was better, but occasionally smell. Nice windows to open for fresh air. Shower worked well. Beds comfortable. Upstairs shower very small/short - we didn’t use. Would be ok for a child.

The main thing here is location. The room is average and not many amenities but it is a ten minute walk to the Milano Duomo and galleria Emmanuel. The shower was uncomfortable but they cleaned every day and we had no problems.

The place is perfect if you want to be in the city center. You can get almost anywhere from here. The metro is a very short walk, cabs on the corners and Uber. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is not the place. There is a restaurant in the courtyard and high end shopping all around it. The hallways to the rooms are narrow but the balcony was great. The bed was comfortable and the staff was nice.

The property is NOT a hotel. It is effectively a floor of rooms on the 3rd floor of an old traditional building with a small reception desk. There are no public facilities and no breakfast room and so it’s a stretch to call it a hotel. Additionally the signposting is atrocious with no signage in the lift or on the corridors telling you how to find the reception desk. We went to 3 different floors in the lift before eventually finding it. Our room #343 had mould between the sink and shower screen (really off putting), peeling paint on the ceiling and in the shower base and very minimal toiletries offered (no body lotion or cotton wool, not even a shower cap) and yet is charging 4 star room rates. For this pleasure they don’t even provide complimentary water or biscuits with the coffee! Air conditioning did not work and the room was either like a furnace or a freezer! No slippers or bathrobes either which is disappointing. The location is fabulous but they are drastically over charging for their product.

We were so impressed with the location! We could walk to amazing restaurants and shops, the magnificent Duomo of Milan, and the train stations are short cab rides away from Velvet Grey. There's a bakery meters away - the croissants alone were worth the trip to Milan!
