"The hotel is very nice and the staff are friendly and helpful. The problem is the location. Th hotel is above and next door to a number of bars and restaurants. When the very drunk bar patrons spill out into the narrow walkways between the buildings throughout the night and into the next morning (3:30 am) they tend to be quite loud. I was woken repeatedly each night. Not pleasant at all. Best to stay somewhere outside of the village core until the village decides to police the situation. "

"Beware what the listing for the room says. Mine said king bed studio. Nowhere did it say it was a MURPHY bed, ie not a real mattress - plus the bed angled down towards the head. I asked front desk if it was possible to change rooms but they said the king bed rooms are not part of the hotel, that they are privately and the hotel has no control. In addition, I tried to contact Expedia because I booked “Cascade Lodge Hotel” via them but it was impossible to speak to an actual person. The room...

"I have stayed at the Fairmont in Banff twice and this property in Whistler did not disappoint either. The whole experience was absolutely seamless and I literally could not make one complaint. Every single staff member was an absolute pleasure to deal with and the facilities were excellent. The food and beverages on offer in all areas were some of the best i have had in Canada. I cannot wait to return!!!"

"Excellent hostel. Very clean shower room, bathroom and locker room. I was initially concerned about the safety of my personal belongings but they had lockable storage for your suite case, skies, and boots. Proximity to Whistler gondola and eateries in the village was unbeatable."

The staff was very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. One of the biggest perks was the well-located equipment room — it made getting in and out with all our gear quick and easy, which we really appreciated. "Really supportive staff. Very efficient property. Not high luxury, but excellent value. Has to be one of the best ski in ski out around. You are right there. No stairs. No long walk. Free public transit comes right to the door and you are at the Whistler village in 10 minutes. We will be back. "
