"Great location and interesting surroundings to get away from the hectic city for a bit. However, do not go "off-season" as almost all the activities you go there for (fine food, wine tasting) was unavailable. They should just close the hotel off season to avoid disappointing guests. The staff were unfailingly polite while not offering very much. All in all, there was a stingyness with this property and experience."
"It’s not in the main city of Venice but if you would like to stay away from the crowd this is a good place. A lot of local restaurants to eat around and you are away from the tourists trap. Would recommend the hotel. "
"Outstanding venue! Old, well-kept villa that was very nice and comfortable. Cocktails on the lawn patio. Shuttle to Venice was an unexpected treat. Restaurant was very good and the staff personable and helpful"
"Reaĺly good hotel. Service was amazing. Restaurant was good albeit dined there twice and second time wasnt as good. Advertised spa ans massage facilities, including a brochure about treatments in my room, but the masseuse was on holiday and not available so that was disappointing. "

This tiny island's colourful houses and vineyards produce the rare Dorona grape used in Venissa's acclaimed golden wine. Cross the wooden footbridge to neighbouring Burano for its famous lace workshops and rainbow-hued fishermen's cottages.
"When we arrived on the train we decided to walk instead of taking the water bus. It was about a 22 min walk having to carry luggage up and down various small bridges and through narrow streets. My daughter and I are in shape so it wasn’t too bad. The hotel was walkable to popular sites. We used gps to navigate. We were close to Rialto Bridge and also not far from St.Marks Square.
The room was spacious and the hotel was safe. Be careful in the shower. The shower head was pointed right at the shower door and my daughter got the floor soaking wet. I found a way to turn it do that didn’t happen again.
Breakfast was ok. Nothing fancy but that was fine with us. There were eggs, chewy bacon, cereal, breads, and a little fruit. Don’t expect a full American style breakfast.
I would recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

"Stepping into this Venetian gem felt like opening the pages of a storybook. The staff greeted us with warmth and charm, and the housekeeping was so attentive it seemed like a sprinkle of magic kept everything spotless. Our room was a cozy retreat—bright, comfortable, and with a bathroom so lovely it felt like a private spa. The true star, though, was our canal view—waking up to gondolas gliding by was pure enchantment. Mornings were made extra special with the excellent breakfast buffet—so many delicious choices, the perfect way to kick off a day of Venetian adventures. The hotel’s location couldn’t be better: just minutes from all the sights, mouthwatering dining, and the heart of Venice’s romance. An absolute dream stay! "
