  • A must visit in my opinion. Go to the turtle hospital and learn about our endangered friends. See the great work the hospital is doing to look after the turtles. Takes about 90 mins to go round,meet all the turtles and even feed them.

We absolutely loved this stay. We were in the golf side and it had amazing views with Iguanas and beautiful sunsets. I would absolutely recommend this as a great little stay.

We had a wonderful time in our cabin! It was very clean and had everything we needed. This is more of a "simple" stay so don't expect a ton of frills but the ac was cold, the little sitting area by the canal was nice to sit at, and the guest passes to the Cabana Club were so nice to use for a pool and beach day. It is a great cental location as well. The management was so responsive and kind as well. Amazing budget-friendly stay in the heart of the keys!

We had an amazing experience at the Aqua Lodge! The space was super clean and smelled great as soon as we walked in, it’s clear they take cleanliness and attention to detail seriously. The lodge was fully stocked with everything we needed: kitchen essentials, towels, and even organic products for the shower and sink (which they kindly ask guests to use). Everything was thoughtful and well prepared. Overall, we had such a fun and relaxing stay, we’ll definitely be back!

The idea of sleeping on a houseboat when your goal is to go fishing makes for a perfect combination. My son woke up and fished from the back of his room and or in the front of the kitchen. It was quiet and met all our needs 2 big beds and a loft for storage or sleeping. The only issue I had was the TV I needed to have an Amazon account for me to watch on TV. Overall it was a great 5 days.

Staff was great to work with. Had usage of kayaks, bikes, even a private beach and pool. Great view of the sunset every evening. We had a great view and a 2 bedroom with bathroom, kitchen and front room and deck.

Had a wonderful time. So much to do in the area. We enjoyed the Cabana Club beach only a short drive away and included in the fee. We were there for the coldest week of the year. The maintenance gentleman, Scott and his assistant were kind enough to bring a hard to find space heater that kept us toasty warm as well a giving spot on recommendations for great places to eat. Some construction in the area but tolerable. Hope to return someday.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The boat house was very cute and very clean, not a single issue the entire time. Yes, the boat will rock a bit depending on the weather, but that is to be expected when you’re floating on water. The people in the area were very friendly and the woman who we rented the boat house from was extremely nice and accommodating. She answered any questions that we had and had excellent communication. We would absolutely stay at the aqua lodges again the next time we visit Marathon! 10/10 would recommend to anyone with a small family visiting the area.

It was a very nice clean new house boat. The only problem we had was ours stuck out to far into the water and it was a very rough night the first night. There was no way to tie it down more secure to keep it from rocking so roughly. Other than that it was very nice. We had a small issue that we called about and it was immediately taken care of otherwise. Very friendly office staff. Very helpful.

It ends up costing more !

Be prepared to pay more than quoted once you get there. The property blamed the under charge on hotels.com who I booked through. They claim that the service fees or cleaning fees need to have tax added on and they extract another 20 bucks out of you before you can check in. Just be prepared. I know it’s not a lot but it really started the experience off on a nasty note. And if they pull this stunt with every guest they are scamming a lot of money!!! The stay was good though

I'm going to try and be diplomatic and state fact rather than my opinion. My husband like it 7/10, I'm more of a 5/10 +ives- •Fantastic experience to live on a houseboat for a couple of days. There are 3 rental houseboats moored here (together with some private permanently moared boats) •Spotlessly clean, beds were really comfy, loads of fresh white towels •Kitchen was really well stocked. No oven, but not a problem. 2 ring hob and microwave was adequate •There's a lovely beach area to sit around a camp fire, or eat on the picnic benches, small quay to fish but no swimming allowed by the quay. •The A/C broke on our last day and the company came out within 30mins to try to fix the problem, instead they moved us to another boat. -ive •Previous review from Tara (aug2024) mentioned kayaks, bicycles and a pool. There is no pool near this site, and bikes and kayaks were not offered to us. •We were very surprised to be moored next to a private house boat, who had 2 noisy dogs. Website pictures and description do not reflect this. •Location is also adjacent to RV site, one of the RV trailers would let their dog roam loose around the area. •No toiletries •The boat's front deck has 1 outdoor table and only 2 chairs. Rear deck has no outdoor furniture. •No coffee or filters for the coffee machine- coffee bags supplied. Had to move the coffee machine to reach a plug. Unfortunately I'm not able to upload any photos

Our accommodation was clean, well furnished and something just a bit different that we thought we would try. The area was okay, but our boat #1 was a little to close to the neighbours and their barking dog. The office is located across the island and house boats at this end are definitely in a better location. Overall good and glad we gave it a go
