"The staff at the front desk and restaurant as well as the porters were all very friendly and helpful. We found our room to be spacious, clean, and comfortable. The swimming pool was wonderful and offered a truly beautiful view of the city. If we find ourselves back in Makassar, we would stay here again. "The Hotel is amazing. The rooms are great and you have a nice rooftop bar. Also the pool was nice and the location is perfect in the middle of the city of Makassar. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. From the hotel you can easily take a boat trip to Samalona Island. It takes only 25 min. I would definitely recommend Swiss-bel Hotel when you are going to visit Makassar."

"This is such an old building. The strong stench in the hallway of mold and cigarettes. Furniture in rooms is so old, window curtains are stained and the beds are very uncomfortable. The dining hall has dated and dirty furniture. "

"Very basic hotel. Fine for the low price. Room is a bit aged and dusty. Same with the loo. Everything works fine though and the shower was nice and hot! Note- the basic rooms don't have a window or view. Location is good though. Right on the sea front stretch close to restaurants and cafes. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Didn't try the food as there are a lot of options right outside."
