"Clean rooms and staff very helpful. The outdoor shared terraces are beautiful and quiet. Restaurants are abundant and everything is very walkable. Safe and friendly neighborhood. One downfall was the wifi was not very good. We had lots of data on our esim so it was okay but would be challenging if you are relying on wifi."

"Location is close to the downtown area, easy bus connection with railway Coimbra B station. Across the road is the river with a boardwalk. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly, a common room near reception. The desk always manned. I would stay here again. Solo traveller"

"We got a really warm and helpful welcome. The location is perfect, a couple of minutes from the university complex. The room was super, breakfast was lovely. There is nothing to fault. We love this place."

"Very charming boutique hotel occupying the space of an old pharmacy, thus the name. The lobby still has many of the old compounds in their original glass jars lightly back lit giving the room a warm glow. Very welcoming. The room was very nice. Large bed with a comfortable spring mattress. Importantly the shower was great—strong water pressure and warm water. Staff was friendly and helpful. Suggested some excellent restaurants and we can confirm they know their local area."
