The hotel is very clean, quiet, and the staff is super friendly.
The location is "awesome"; about 2 min walk to two big train and underground (Kings Cross and St Pancras). Plenty of restaurants close by. Would highly recommend for anyone who wants convenient to go anywhere from a central location.
We stayed at the California the night before we caught the Eurostar. The location is good, just a few minutes walk to station. Room had everything we needed. Would stay again.
Still one of my favourite hotels in London, as a solo traveller. Despite being right beside King’s Cross and St. Pancras International, the neighbourhood is quiet, walkable, and full of great places to dine & shop. If you’re exploring London you’re right beside the Underground and several bus lines, too!

An average hotel with average amenities. Over priced for what you get, but it is London.
Had a real hard time sleeping with the noise all around (specially the thumping from the hallway over my room, was basically a stampede every morning.) Must admit the sound of the tube rumbling below actually helped with its white noise.
It's the most okay a hotel can get. Not terrible but far from great. But it is a 3 star non luxury hotel, so I'll take the L for booking this one.
Staff was really friendly all the time.
Clean room and close to St Pancras station which served it purpose. Only down side was we were on level 4 and no lift which was a challenge with large suitcases to carry up a very narrow staircase.
Muito bem localizado, cama confortável, funcionários atenciosos… não tinha ar condicionado, solicitamos um ventilador extra devido ao calor extremo na cidade durante a estadia e fomos atendidos prontamente. Me hospedaria novamente.
The room was very clean and the beds are comfortable. There is no AC but there were two fans that cooled the room quickly. Luggage storage prior to check-in was easy and secure. They labeled each bag and kept them behind the desk then delivered them to the room while we were out.
If you’re short, it’s a good choice. Tiny rooms, including short beds. Yes, it’s crowded, ageless London, but beware. If you’re over 6 feet tall, prepare for bumped heads, banged elbows, and stubbed toes. Plus narrow stairways built for small feet. It’s all “charming,” but annoying for those of us taller than average.
