Absolutely disgusting accommodation. Avoid at all costs!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to warn others about our experience at Park Lane Apartments, Clarges Street, London.
We paid £1,202.62 for a three night family stay and, quite frankly, I have never been so disgusted by the standard of accommodation provided.
The sofa bed, which was advertised as sleeping accommodation, was absolutely filthy. Heavily stained, worn and covered in marks, it was completely unacceptable for anyone to sleep on. The photographs speak for themselves. I felt physically sick knowing what was underneath the sheet we had initially laid on it.
We had our daughter and young niece staying with us and there was absolutely no way we were allowing either of them to sleep on that sofa bed.
The problems didn't end there. There were numerous other cleanliness and maintenance issues throughout the apartment, and during the night there was an overpowering smell of cannabis coming from the communal hallway and into our accommodation. We had to keep the internal doors closed, and the smell when we opened them was horrendous.
This was supposed to be a family break, not an experience where we were questioning the cleanliness and suitability of somewhere we had paid good money to stay.
We reported the problems, provided photographic evidence and contacted the accommodation provider. As the sleeping arrangements were unacceptable, we had to make alternative arrangements and check
