Gloria's B&B is very much 'what you see - is what you get', and that is a good thing. It doesn't pretend to be a 5 star hotel and is priced accordingly, and that is the charm of the place; the staff are very friendly and willing to make anything they can work.
We called on Gloria for advice and assistance organizing our day - local knowledge is always best and being able to obtain it cannot always be taken for granted in Africa, or anywhere else. She was extremely helpful, recommending good restaurants/cafes and what taxi prices should be / which to avoid. Her husband handled all transfers in a modern car safely driven.
The rooms are dated but kept very clean and everything functions like it should. The swimming pool is a welcome chance to cool down, and breakfast is straight forward but made to work around your schedule; perfect for a busy day seeing the sights. We didn't have bug issues but really appreciated having the mosquito nets anyway for peace of mind.
No problems recommending to family & friends, and will happily stay here again - friends stayed at the waterfront and had the opposite experience while paying plenty more!.
