"This is a clean, affordable and central place to stay in downtown Vancouver. The staff are great. The rooms are large - though a bit dated. The restaurant and coffee shop are handy. It can be noisy (traffic, sirens) due to its location and the single pane windows (try to get a room at the back of the building). There are a pool and exercise room but both are in a dingy basement area. "

"Dear Expedia Customer MY booking 73411315532057 I am writing to formally express my concern regarding a recent reservation I made through your platform at Hotel Willo (formerly YWCA Hotel Vancouver). Upon my late arrival in Vancouver, I was informed at the front desk that the room I had reserved included a shared bathroom with other guests. This came as a complete surprise, as there was no clear indication of shared bathroom accommodations in the Expedia listing at the time of booking. Having traveled extensively around the world during my career as an airline pilot for over 12 years, I have stayed in a wide range of hotels, and this was the first time I encountered such an arrangement without prior disclosure. Due to the late hour and lack of alternative options, I had no choice but to upgrade to a small room with a private bathroom at a significantly higher cost In addition, the internet service at the hotel was extremely slow and unreliable. It was difficult to use even for basic purposes, and it was not possible to watch television or stream content, which further impacted the quality of my stay.As a result, my three-night stay totaled close to $1,000, which was far beyond what I had initially expected based on the information provided. I strongly believe that this situation was the result of misleading or incomplete information on the Expedia platform, combined with substandard hotel conditions. Please request the different payment back to me."

"Excellent stay. Clean, comfortable and updated rooms. Property was clean and modern. Staff was excellent as well. Hydra (attached restaurant) is awesome as well. Location was close to everything, walking distance to water front and Gastown, short Uber or Taxi to Yaletown or Granville Island. 10/10 recommend."
