It was clean, Room was Comfy we had a very good view from our superior suite, and very good and private, though we saw ours was maybe most private little cabin they had. Nice lush garden right in front of room and walk to our cabin. Bed was comfy on soft side.

The property is small but situated perfectly offering the best view of Mount Arenal. We had the garden view bungalow and were very pleased. Air conditioning worked perfectly. Room was clean, beds comfortable! Obviously you’re amidst a jungle so there will be bug encounters, but the staff was quick to assist. Diego at the front desk was absolutely fantastic. The tv is a bit outdated, but we didn’t care much for it. Wifi is strong. The grounds are kept clean. The only issue is the flies during breakfast. It’s almost impossible to eat comfortably with the flies constantly hovering! Other than that, the stay was excellent!

Lavas Tacotal is such a gem. The grounds are unbelievably lush, and the volcano is just beyond. We saw toucans in the bordering jungle, and the flora was breathtaking. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful. My kids loved the pools. The room was clean and spacious, with housekeeping every day. Staff were friendly and helpful. The rain on the roof each night was the perfect white noise. My only complaint is the beds are small and very hard. The sheets were clean but stiff. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay.

Great location—close to town, yet peaceful with beautiful volcano views. The one-floor rooms made it very easy and convenient to get around. There are also restaurants nearby, so you don’t even need to go into town.

Beautiful property with lots of lush greenery. The sounds of the birds every morning were so soothing to hear from the porch. Arenal volcanic national park is nearby and there are so many hot springs around this hotel.

It is a lovely property with very nice rooms. Our room had a beautiful view of the volcano. The property has beautiful grounds with lots of flowering plants. All staff we encountered were so friendly. The bed was very comfortable. We had a shower attachment that needed to be fixed and they did it promptly. Nice variety of food for breakfast. I would definitely stay again.
