Beautiful property and rooms. Very lush with beautiful plants throughout. Clear attention to detail with the interior design - a very practical kitchenette and a wonderful shower. Celeste was very responsive and helpful from the moment we checked in until we left. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in La Fortuna and would definitely book again if we come back to the area.

The rooms were above and beyond my expectations!!! So absolutely beautiful! Everything was top tier down to the toiletries!! I highly recommend! Great location! Perfect for a honeymoon or romantic getaway!

The Bauma lofts were absolutely beautiful and very conveniently located. The Staff was very responsive and great with their recommendations. My girlfriend and I have some dietary restrictions and the staff was able to help us find some wonderful restaurants that could accommodate. I will be saving Bauma in my locations for places to stay again and look forward to getting a larger group to be able to stay in the villas! Definitely recommend anybody who is visiting the La Fortuna area to stay at this wonderful location!

The hotel is very nice, with privacy and a personal jucuzzi. Because the property is new, there was a small kink with the internet/power. The issue was resolved to my satisfaction. Luis, the property manager, was helpful, friendly, and attentive.

I loved everything about this property! Such a perfect stay for a couple. The outside of the room had multiple spots to hang out at, the whole property was gorgeous, updated, modern, and clean. The bathroom was gorgeous even and brought some natural light from outside. The staff was super helpful and friendly with all my questions. I highly recommend this property!!

Absolutely gorgeous property! Best place we stayed at in Costa Rica. The place is close to everything, they have security all night at the gate. Communication via WhatsApp was so convenient and prompt. The hot tub at the end of the day was icing on the cake. Would definitely recommend.

Brand new modern property and loft. Perfect for a couple. Enjoyed the hot tub and easy location to La fortuna. Definitely recommend. Limited staff on property, Celeste our host arranged everything and helped us with number of tours and super responsive.

Facility is newer. Everything is communicated through whats app. Tip: keep the bathroom door closed. There is open access to outside from the bathroom. It allows mosquitos inside. Our room wasnt cleaned during the stay. Not sure if we needed to request it. There is a beautiful view of the volcano from the balcony.

Fabulous compound of villas. Can’t say enough about our stay and this location. A stones throw from restaurants and downtown Fortuna. Highly rated by us and would definitely stay again. A unique style of concrete and steel makes an architectural wonder.

I booked this beautiful property for my daughter’s 30th birthday. We had two gorgeous rooms. Celeste was awesome, she decorated the room with balloons and a cake for my daughter. A very special place 💗 My daughters are already planning to come stay here again. Highly recommended.

This property was beyond my best expectations. It was private, beautiful and was designed with the best Eco intentions. Every bit of the design was intentional functional, a n nd esthetically wonderful. There is an open sky portion to the shower. Absolutely fabulous... nicest place we have stayed in our entire 10 day stay at various places in cost rica . Should be in the 5 star category. We spoke with manager Luis and he was so informative and said because it was brand new they do not have a real rating yet. We had our own villa with hot tub and fabulous views of the volcano from our back balcony. Will absolutely stay again this time much longer ... bathroom was so cool !!!!

We loved our stay at BAUMA. We stayed in the lofts, and definitely would have upgraded to the villa if we were hanging around more during the day. We were quite busy during the days, so felt the lofts were plenty good enough. I was very nervous as the bathroom had an opening to the outside (which is a beautiful concept), but I was very paranoid about spiders/animals coming in. Luckily, we didn’t experience anything other than a couple little flying bugs (which I can handle). We do wish there was housekeeping each day. Would have been nice for garbage disposal and clean towels, as we used the shower and hot tub a tremendous amount of times. It was walking distance into town, which made it easy to get our meals, snacks, and alcohol from restaurants and superstores. Listening to the animals every morning from the upper deck was spectacular. I already miss it! Would highly recommend booking this place. I would go back in a heartbeat!

Loved everything! Beautiful area, great facilities with beautiful views! Great location short drive to Lafortuna waterfall and easy drive to Arenal volcano national park! Amenities were amazing would definitely recommend if you’re in the area!

Luis, one of the property owners, made our stay really enjoyable. He's personally invested in all aspects of this boutique hotel/villa concept and he and his staff really worked hard and went above and beyond to help us (a family of 5) figure out where to go, where to eat, etc. He had AMAZING restaurant recommendations. So first, a little about the property. It's brand new (opened December 2023) and is right across from a fantastic boutique coffee and chocolate farm (with a really worthwhile tour). The location is a walk away from a strip of stores (grocery, a couple of restaurants, etc.) and a very short drive away from downtown La Fortuna which has more restaurants and shops. We stayed in one of two 2-bedroom/2-bath units with a small pool - it's a beautiful architectural place with a really stunning patio/pool area where you can see the volcano on a clear day through some of the other units (there are 8 in total, I think). They are modern, clean, airy and light. Everyone gives 5 stars and I think that rating is seriously overused. So don't take 4 stars out of 5 as a negative thing - take it as just an honest opinion based on the state of things at the time. Little details were still being sorted out and Luis was gracious in taking our un-solicited suggestions which we felt compelled to give because we connected with Luis and his passion for the business. I have little doubt that Bauma will have tons of 5-star reviews in the near future.

The place is very nice with your own swimming pool. Very clean. There is washer and dryer inside the villa. Luis (the owner) is very friendly and welcoming. Celeste (the virtual assistant) gave us good recommendations about restaurants and stuff to do in the area. I recommend this place for families.

Brand New Complex!! Comfy Bed and Soft Sheets. Nice small kitchen with Indiction Hot Plate and fry pan & sauce pot. Microwave and Coffee Maker with Coffee and Filters Provided. Hot tub was a bonus...Owner was super sweet!! Couple things I didn't like is no vacation login for any streaming service to watch tv. I didn't like the loose soap shelves in the shower. We have been staying in San Jose for several days working with Costa Rica children and we needed a weekend break! We booked the Bauma last minute for 2 nights as most places were already booked. Did we hit the jackpot & wished we had time to stay longer! Bauma is newer, very clean, the indoor/outdoor shower is the best & the staff is excellent as they will help you with just about anything you may need! We had a queen bed room with a private hot tub. It also had an outside, upstairs sitting area facing the Volcano. There were no clouds either night so we had a star show at night! Fantastic! It’s about a 10-15 min. walk into town and we had no problems with the area as far as safety etc. in fact there is a woman on the route we ended up getting a couples massage from! Uber is also available if you don’t feel like walking. The one thing about most of Costa Rica is that it isn’t less expensive as many would believe. It is a bit pricey but definitely worth the little bit extra. Thanks Bauma for a great weekend! PURA VIDA!!

The property is newly built, and feels much more expensive than what it is! Everything is thoughtfully laid out, with private jacuzzis and decks for every loft. Landscaping to give extra privacy. Very convenient location - less than 5 minute drive to the main road and so close to all the attractions. Prompt responses from hotel always. We would absolutely stay here again

This place was amazing. If you have the opportunity to book it I wouldn’t hesitate. 5 min drive to town. Hot tub, sick balcony, amazing bathroom/shower, bed was super comfortable, ac smart tv, all the essential kitchen equipment, beautiful landscaping that makes everything private. It’s really well thought out and there’s 2 cute property cats that will give you company on rainy days. 10/10
