Reasonable.
Selected to stay after drinking in Gion area with my KYOTO friends.
The fee would be reasonable even for young people. (I'm in 50s.)
The master is friendly and guests are also.
I had some talking time with other foreign guests, which was so interesting and happy time.
The room is just that of a modest house and you can hear every noises of the next room. So not suitable for business use. For those who can even enjoy such environments.
Lugar acogedor cerca del barrio de geishas, ideal para un par de noches, yururi es muy amable y encantadora te da todas las facilidades para que te lo pases bien.
When we arrived we were greeted by the super friendly owners who spoke enough english that there were no problems. They walked us through everything and showed us out rooms. We had some great conversations with the owners and they were more like friends than staff.
The rooms were no particularly large but were big enough for two people. The Duvets were amazing and super fluffy and warm, you will be sleeping on a traditional futon here but not to worry as they are comfortable. The included breakfast consisted of some toast with spreads, tea/coffee and a banana. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean and kept to a high standard. There was also washing machine that you could pay to use which we definitely did.
The location is within walking distance of a train station, temples and most of the main sites of Kyoto as far as we were concerned although we were fit. The guesthouse it down a narrow alley way an near a alley intersection.
In conclusion, the clean comfy beds and the super friendly staff made this one of the most memorable stays in Japan that we had.
Hotel is in a convenient location with small but adequate rooms. The free breakfast is a joke - each person is allowed to have 2 slices of white break with artificial butter / peanut butter + 1 banana. However, the worst is the guy who sleeps behind the front desk and manages the hotel. He seemed to take his job as telling us what was prohibited - "No, you cannot eat a banana now, breakfast only". One evening, he hosted a noisy dinner party for his friends in the hotel's tiny lobby/kitchen/dinning area, which means no guest could use the only common area that evening and everyone had to parade in front of some drinking/shouting men to use the showers. We waited till 10 PM to ask them to keep the noise down, only to be told by the guy that the curfew (lights out, noise down) was 11 PM!
Gion Guesthouse Yururi is a charming place tended by a wonderful couple and walking distance to most of Kyoto's must see places. We had a great time and made friends too!
Friendly Fun Guesthouse welcoming to all traveller
The place was conveniently located near an interesting area of Gion. Clean cozy and sonwelcoming. Great hospitality, the guest house is fantastic. I would recommend to all types of travellers it was my first solo trip for a long stay internationally and felt very happy staying here. They speak very good English and provide an excellent guest experience.
It was fun and warm stay in Yururi, the hosts were so nice, the breakfast was great, the location is strategic. It is a perfect place to make friends from around the world
It was very incredible to stay at GuestHouse Yururi and experiencing a traditional Japanese room with tatami and futon. Besides that, Mr Kouzou is a fantastic host and will make everything to make you happy. Breakfast is included (toasts, butter, jam, coffee and tea) and the neighborhood is the best one to stay in Kyoto! If you're lucky you can see some Geishas!
