Uselt hotell, kackerlackor på rummet som var ostädat. Poolen var inte fylld och hade inte rengjorts det senaste året, frukosten vågade vi inte ens äta av....

Der totale Flop, nicht empfehlenswert

Das gebuchte „VIP Thai House“ mit angeblich 30 Quadratmetern größe, Balkon, 1 Doppel- und 2 Einzelbetten stellte sich als 9 qm Loch heraus, in dem grade einmal ein Doppelbett Platz hat. In einer anderen (billigeren) Kategorie haben wir dann wenigstens ein Zustellbett unter bekommen. Der Zimmerservice scheint grade in Urlaub zu sein, das WLAN ist quasi nicht nutzbar (scheint ständig neu zu starten, ist max. 2 min Verfügbar). Auch gibt es hier mit den Buchungen über Hotels.com wohl Probleme. So war angeblich nur eine Person gemeldet.

Misleading profile

We arrived at the Grand Cabana and were given a room that was very different from the picture of the deluxe room advertised on Expedia. Ugly decor, damp smell, no bedside table or furniture other than a bed in the room. The lighting in the room was harsh and we had to rely on this because we needed to keep the curtains closed for reasons of privacy. There was not much natural light in the room with the curtains open anyway. There was a lot of noise from a PA system on the beach and the place could never be described as tranquil. Breakfast was disappointing - the fried eggs were left out instead of being freshly prepared and hence were all cold. The hotel staff were very helpful and upgraded us to a VIP room but the experience meant we checked into another hotel as soon as we were able.

Helt ok

Tveksam inledning när vi fick vänta på rummet väl länge. Helt ok rum, stenhård kudde och tyvärr en krånglande AC. Vi kompenserades nästa natt med nytt rum (större) till reducerat pris. Dock funkade ac'n dåligt där med . Fin trädgård, pool och strandområde. Jättefin frukost.

Helt ok anläggning. Ingen märkvärdig men OK frukost. Bra skydd mot vågor om det blåser eftersom hotellet ligger i södra delen av bukten.

Reasonably priced hotel right at the beach

I really like the layout of this hotel. Many of the rooms are in separate properties with 1 room on ground floor and 1 on 1st floor. We stayed in the VIP Thai House. It had a nice big balcony, and fine sized bedroom. The bathroom was a bit shabby. Generally the hotel needs a bit of modernisation, especially the bathrooms. Breakfast is included, but to be honest, it was not very good. Other than fresh fruit, it was of a low standard. The hotel leads right down to the beach, although it is very narrow in front of the hotel. You can easily walk along the beach to find a better spot. There are restaurants and bars all along the beach. All with a very nice laid back atmosphere. We had a problem on arrival as the VIP Thai house we booked for 4 people was in fact a normal double room with sleeping for 2. The staff found us an additional room and the manager was helpful giving us a discount on the extra room. It seemed the problem was more with the information on Hotels.com than with the hotel.

Epäsiisti ja meluisa

Hotellissa oli käyntimme aikana jatkuva remontti yötä päivää. Huoneet olivat epäsiistit ja siivous tapahtui vain pyytämällä. Hotellin lähellä ei ollut juuri mitään joten skootterin vuokraus kannattaa. Hotellin ranta oli hieno ja auringonlaskut upeita.

Agréable hôtel sur la plage

Après un quiproquo sur la chambre, le responsable a fait le nécessaire dès le lendemain de notre arrivée pour nous donner une chambre correspondante à la réservation. Personnel gentil mais parlant très peu anglais. Hôtel sur la plage avec beaucoup de transats avec parasol (appréciable par fortes chaleurs). Petit déjeuner à améliorer
