"Short stay to see the Metallica gigs in nearby Stratford. The stag were nothing but helpful and friendly at all times. Nothing was to much bother especially when we had trouble finding parking when we arrived. As they state, parking is free but limited but they managed to find us a place. They were also helpful with advice and directions too. The rooms are somewhat small and ours didn't have Aircon but it did have a desk fan. The reception and dinning room are Aircon. "Uh. Where to start. First of all, the name is misleading. This hotel should be called, 'Worst Western Hotel' and not the Best. No complaints about the staff who were helpful and polite. My room was covered in dust from top to bottom. The coffee sachets - DUST. The kettle - DUST. The coffee mugs - DUST. The bathroom - DUST. As a bonus, the bathroom also had not been cleaned and there were human hairs from every angle - in the shower, on the floor, in the sink - everywhere.

"I really liked this hotel. It's what I would call a hidden gem, because I had no idea it was there. The building is clean, housekeeping is spot on, the staff are attentive, and able to offer advice on almost everything. The bar had a lovely atmosphere and the lounge had the largest TV on planet Earth. Breakfast was the best I'd had in any hotel. It's a 2 minute walk from the tube station, and close to all amenities. "The room was not properly cleaned and we had to clear hairballs and dust. We cleaned the room ourselves before unpacking. The shower flooded the bathroom and it had obviously done this before as the bathroom door was rotten - bits of wood coming out. Mould around the edges and the towels were stained. Also had to request a second set of towels which were given to us in the bar and not put in our room. Disappointing for a large chain. Would not recommend staying here."
