The rate of this hotel said 3 and a half, however when we arrived we found the reception empty. Nobody provided any service until after a good half hour, we rang and rang and it was past the check in time. The room itself was nothing like what it appears to be on the pictures, the bathroom was dirty, no soap, no shampoo and strands of hair from former visitors. The sink was broken, there was a hole instead of it. The curtains and the Moskito net were stained, the door handle came out when we simply opened the door, our room was touching the reception, no privacy at all and very noisy. The staff didn't know what soap was, we had to like it and we had no toilet paper. The breakfast was terrible. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
This hotel is quite bad - water was leaking from the ceiling, bathroom is horrible, bed not comfortable, the staff slept on a mattress in the middle of the lobby area, a dog was crying all night long.
Lucky us we only stay there few hours, before going to an early morning hike to Mt Batur volcano. I'll recommend to stay in another hotel or even in Ubud and waked up 1h earlier.

Liked: Staff & service
Amazing staff great if you want to climb batur
The hotel ia very outdated and the plumbing is very stinky ( leave the bathroom door closed) but the wifi is good, the bed is comfortable ( even if it creeks) and the staff is absolutely amazing and will do anything to make your stay great ( including giving you rides on their motorbikes to get to batur). Breakfast in the morning was delicoous

Quirky but good value
This is a beautiful old villa conversion. The owners don't seem to care much about making it a going concern, so it is weirdly vacant. We were in what must have been the former master bedroom. There was.a plumbing problem that left a bad smell in the bath, but the room was huge and had two balconies. The "staff" consisted of two very young men who were very friendly and eager to help. The restaurant was closed, but they rustled up some fried rice for dinner and ran down the road to fetch beer. Across the road from the must-visit Volcano Museum.
I was booked here for three nights, but within a few hours of arriving I had decided to only stay one. My 'deluxe' room looked nothing at all like the photo presented -which does often happen- but this was a long way away! The room was straight off the reception area where the receptionist sat watching what sounded like cartoons until late night. My room itself looked out onto a dark tiny yard/services area. The bathroom was filthy, especially around the toilet which had evidence around it of the previous user. There was no proper shower and the bath itself was dirty. Because of the open vents and lack of nets, the bathroom was full of flies. At least the bed linen was clean and reasonably comfortable. Despite the receptionist knowing that I had to be up at 3am to hike up the volcano, it was disappointing that the TV stayed on until late and the smell of cigarette smoke made for a quite unpleasant night.
We cancel spending a night here...the house, the room, the furniture all seems spooky, no parking place also...even we arrive late we decide to find another place...really scary...I don't know why it's seems good when I book this hotel....oops and it's not a hotel also...because the owner live there...share the living room etc...very dissapointed that we pay for nothing..
the Staffs were great and helpful. the room was clean and the environment was nice.

Hôtel moyen, pas grand interet sauf mont batur
Bonjour
Petit dejeuner simple, chambre correcte
The room was beautiful and the bed was so comfortable. Kintamani is very cold but the blanket was so big and warm that I wasn't cold. Two friendly young guys were in reception and they made us breakfast in the morning.
