"This hotel is slightly more expensive than most select-service hotels in the area - and it is worth it. We stopped overnight to break up a long road trip, deciding to spend a little more than normal, based on the great reviews and the mediocre-to-poor reviews for other hotels in the general area. We chose a room with two double beds, and ended up in a clean, comfortable and spacious suite with a full-sized refrigerator (helpful to have a real freezer for our cooler's ice packs). The room was nice and quiet. We didn't use it, but the pool area is pretty and well maintained. What really set this property apart, though, was the extreme friendliness of the staff. Everyone we encountered was smiling and went out of their way to say hello and ask how we were doing. Makeda at the front desk deserves a special shout out. It was late at night when we checked in and she was working a double. The next morning, early, she was just as pleasant and smiley as she had been the night before, sending us on our way with a "Have a blessed day!" Kindness seems to be in short supply these days - it was nice to be reminded how wonderful it can be. Highly recommend."
