Very helpful and welcoming staff. However, the property has aged! Too many scratches and scoffs on the walls and fittings. It is in need of serious revamp. There is no lift to the free car park. It can be inconvenient/awkward to get to. There is a missed opportunity here to invest in the property and add value, especially considering its prime location in Ipoh.

Friendly and Helpful staff, hotel building is slightly aged but is being renovated and is recovering from recent downturn in business from COVID. Standard of Hotel is acceptable, it's 10 mins walking distance from large shopping centre and various outlets, plus local restaurant and tea houses close by within 5 minutes walk. Staff are genrally very friendly and welcoming, and keen to address any issues when brought to their attention. Hotel is also used for conferences and meetings. Reasonable rates and value.

Hotel was not properly maintained. First room the staff checked me in had ants running along the toilet sink and what looked like bloodstain on the bedsheet. Staff were friendly and nice and changed a room for me the next day. But no matter which room I changed to, the rooms were still run down and horribly maintained. Sound proofing of the rooms were not good either. Not worth my money staying here.

With the rate i paid, for this old property, no lift from basement parking to lobby, no breakfast included during Ramadan, poor amenities in room, old and disgusting water closet and rain shower, make uncomfortable feeling. even dare not boil the water from the water tap for tea or coffee.

The cleanliness of the room especially the toilet need to be improved. I got shoe footsteps in the bathtub which obviously was not clean properly before we check-in. Indeed the room requires to refurbish, and the pool needs proper maintenance too. However, the breakfast is superb. Husband and I really love the food served.

Old hotel not worth price paid

Overall I think this hotel does not deserve a 4-star rating, maybe 3, or even 2 Firstly, the first room I checked in smelled of stale air and wet carpets, I requested to change rooms and was allowed another room on another floor. This room although did not smell bad, but smelled really old instead. The toilets were dirty, with mold everywhere, especially the bath curtain, really disgusting. Furniture in the room also already broken and not fixed. Overall, not worth the price charged, although the breakfast was good.

Very run down needing considerable investment to bring it up to its apparent 4 star standard. Typical of a state owned hotel probably. Apart from the front desk a general lack of customer focus. Breakfasts just about ok for local clientele but not really appealing to international guests.
