"The place is very clean, the room is cleaned daily unless you prefer privacy. The air conditioning helped keep cool during the middle of the day, and bottled water (5 gallon dispensers) is provided everywhere (including 1/2 gallon bottled water in the room). Sheets and bed fixtures are high quality. Now the staff is the highlight of the Mayan Princess. They are all adorned in crisp clean uniforms, welcome you each day, and are extremely professional. each member went above and beyond to ensure I enjoyed my stay. Note: I had issues with my phone, and over the days it took to resolve the issue, the staff accommodated me using company phones, and getting staff to take my phone for repairs. Laundry service was excellent, and the on site massage therapy was convenient. Overall the staff was stellar, and it's the warm feeling that will bring me back again. I can go on all-day to explain how amazing the beach, the water, sand domestic plant and animal life improve the overall relaxation you feel when you visit a beautiful beach Compared to other tropical Caribbean beaches I've visited the coral sand here is softer, the water is clearer each day and overall pleasant for walking on barefoot (even if there is a 30 minute rain). I did visit each restaurant/bar(s) on site and each had it's own charm local specialty drinks with informative staff to explain history of the area, the drinks, culture, mangroves, etc. It is an overall wonderful place to visit and then visit again."

"Some staff appeared not happy to be there The office dive staff when we went to check out and had to settle our NITROX tank bill accused my wife of not diving because she was drunk This comment was uncalled for as another member of our group had stomach issues also NOT ALCOHOL The comment was unwarranted and not necessary The tipping policy was absurd Tip jars everywhere and some of the most confusing tipping for the scuba shop Seperate tips for boat captain dive guide tank haulers All other dive shops we have been to you leave one tip and they disperse it accordingly We will not be returning to this resort Anthonys Key will be our go to But also we will not be returning for diving as sometimes we were all like "where is the marine life" "

"We were upgrade to an Owners Suite, but it didn’t have an ocean view, but the extra amenities were worth it. Breakfast was delicious, and the beach was gorgeous. Staff were top notch. Lounge chair views were obstructed by beach vendors on one end, but we always seemed to get a lounger with unobstructed view. Afternoon snacks and Champagne were a nice touch. We will definitely be back!"

"An absolute gem in West End! Staff is fantastic all around. We never had contact with a staff member who didn't greet us, smile or ask if we needed something. We want to recognize specifically Santiago and his never wavering positive attitude and genuine desire to assist. Our room was exactly what we needed, cleaned everyday, quality fixtures, tasteful decor and fully functional for our needs with a nice outdoor patio. The boutique-style hotel offers a coffee shop, Bean Crazy, which serves a nice included breakfast menu, or for less than $20 USD you can have a full breakfast which will fill you right up. The coffee is roasted across the hall and is delicious. Need a souvenir? Attached to Bean Crazy you'll find it at a reasonable cost. On site security officers kept the hotel and beach area across the street at bay and were always friendly. During ceuise ship days expect the beach areas to get busy, but never fear Mr. Tucan's keeps a beach chair for you. We never were without a chair for our 10 day stay. The beach area is kept clean by the local population. The bay has a large buoy area for snorkeling, swimming and paddleboarding. The beach area is fairly shallow throughout, usually not exceeding 10 feet. If you're looking for local food, entertainment and shopping it is all within a short walk and we never had a bad meal. From street side stands to upscale dining this area has it all. All-in-all there is no need to look elsewhere. Mr. Tucan's is a top pick."
