"The cutest little lodge with wonderful hosts. The place is bigger than expected and would be perfect for families or larger groups. Well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. It was a hidden gem and we woke up to a beautiful sunrise. Great location for those visiting Hobbiton."

"The property seemed very new. Clean, bright, comfortable with nice extras— a free pass to the fitness center just a few yards away, free laundry services. The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. When we ordered a birthday breakfast for the room, the staff cam up singing ‘Happy Birthday’ with a piece of cake , candles and ice Cream. Ludi at the front desk was especially helpful. The food at the restaurant/room service was very very good."

"Arrival & Atmosphere We arrived around 3 PM and check-in was smooth - there was one staff member at the front desk who was expecting us. However, the resort felt unusually quiet, almost empty. During our stay, most facilities appeared closed, including dining and the spa. It’s unclear whether these are only available in peak season. "For the price,I was surprised at the room.offered: old,tired small. Grateful it was close to our bus stop as we were not driving. No glasses in room. Pub downstairs great food and service. Would not recommend this accommodation if stairs are a problem- long flight up."

"This was exactly what I needed for my weekend away. Close to Tauranga but out of the city. The accommodation was clean and had everything I needed as well as some thoughtful touches. I would definitely stay here again."

"Friendly staff, nice room in general. Getting to the facility was difficult due to recent traffic changes. Despite instructions, I got lost almost every time returning to the room. Bed matress was very well worn, body indents present on each side, probably time for a refresh. Pillows were flat. Large roach in the shower and bug bites while in the room, hopefully just mosquitos."
