"Unfortunately they had 2 of 3 elevators out of service for my whole stay. One day all 3 were down. Rooms were alright in most areas of care except for the bench and chair in room. Those items were cloth covered and looked like they haven’t steamed cleaned them in years. They only provide housekeeping services every other day. Staff were pleasant and tried to make the most of things. I felt bad for them the day all the elevators were out as they had to carry things up to 8 flights of stairs."
"Second time staying at Aaron’s Cottage. This time cottage #4 with the 4 person set up for my wife and I and our two daughters. Little kitchenette with practically everything. Also have access to community kitchen. Look to see if Aaron’s has availability the next time this local family head to Hilo!"
"We liked the room and liked the location - just steps to the Farmer's Market. This is more of a note to Expedia than to the Hilo Downtown Inn. This is the second place we have rented through Expedia that didn't tell us we'd need to negotiate stairs. My wife has trouble navigating stairs. I think the property and Expedia have an ethical and perhaps legal obligation to inform potential renters about the stairs."
"Nice old plantation style house with a beautiful yard and view of Hilo.
Staff was nice and helpful, even tho I arrived a day and a half late.
Very peaceful place to stay, with birds chirping in the morning and coqui frogs croaking at night."
