"This is a hidden gem. It's a charming old manor house with very comfortable rooms and lovely food. The staff can't do enough for you and are extremely helpful. It's set in its own grounds, completely hidden from the road with no noise apart from birdsong and the whispering of the trees."

"On arrival there was road works outside the hotel which we were unaware of. I had messaged to ask where to park but got no answer. The parking is payable across the road and behind some houses. The hotel building is very old and the bar area is quite nice. The two young lads on the bar were very nice and friendly. The room we had was in need of decoration and updating, not in good shape. We had drinking facilities provided but I’d advise take your own as the ones given were to certain tastes....

"My son and I had the pleasure of staying there for a single evening mid-May. It had been a long day, and we were ready for exactly what they offered: a quaint, cozy, historic place to feast and lay our heads for the night. As we came in, we were greeted by the mother and daughter duo (sorry, I can't recall their names). The mother showed us to an upgraded dual room meant for a family. As it is my adult son I was traveling with, I really wanted my own bed. What I got was a bed and adorable...

"Lovely hotel the only downside which I had not realised was breakfast started at 8 and we needed to leave at 730. The staff were lovely and provided us with cereal and milk the night before. We eat in the restaurant on the evening of our arrival and the food was excellent."

"Friendly staff, comfortable clean beds, beds sockets, good shower, ground floor rooms with easy parking. The only downside was there was no food available due to awaiting a new chef fortunately I found out the day before so we didn’t just find out on check in also there was a catering van onsite in the evening we checked in."

"Parking was only ok because we arrived late in the day on a Saturday and were able to park on the street outside for free. Any other day and I think you’d have to pay to park on the high street. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. Only stayed one night so no complaints. Pinos across the road was excellent for dinner. "
