"Peaceful, clean and staff courteous"

"We arrived around 4:30, the carpark was busy and the restaurant really busy - wasn’t an issue for us as we were going out. The reception is away from the hustle and bustle of the bar/ restaurant which was good. The room was big enough, but the beds are really small. My husband had to go and ask for another room (on his own) as the double was bearly wide enough for both of us, let alone long enough. … so if you are over 5’8 you will struggle. "Our stay was great. The only disappointment was the shower. It wasn't very powerful and the temperature was unreliable. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. The continental breakfast was very good so it wasn't necessary to order additional cooked items. "

"Everything was perfect. We did not add breakfast whilst booking rooms as we were not sure if we would do breakfast at the hotel. However, we decided to have breakfast on payment however the staff didn’t charge us for the breakfast and said that they had no shows! Nice gesture! "

" The property was advertised as offering free parking. At check-in, we were asked to provide our car registration number for the duration of our stay, which we did in good faith. However, a week later we received a parking fine for using the hotel car park. When we contacted Holiday Inn, they advised that they were unable to assist and that we would need to appeal directly to the parking company, providing proof of our stay. We have submitted this appeal and are currently awaiting a...

"Room was very warm in the attic. Windows didn't open We had to wedge the door open to get air from the corridor. Bathroom not very clean, needs regrouting. Towels were nice, thick and soft. Breakfast was lovely. Staff in restaurant and bar friendly."

"Most things were excellent except for the booking system. The hotel website had a phone number but no email! When the phone number was called we were asked what we wanted before being referred to just 1 of 2 options, with no chance of talking to a person. The phone would continue ringing for a little while before timing out. We were given no chance of leaving a message or to ask for a call back. We had to cancel our original booking in order to rebook using a different 3rd party website...

"Just stayed for 1 night fo the airport. Lobby lacked atmosphere. It needs some quiet music. Room was absolutely roasting. We hardly slept due being unable to turn down the air conditioning despite it being on low"
