"Beautiful hotel. Hot tubs and sauna have beautiful views. A couple of off-putting things about a hotel of this quality were the melamine plates used for breakfast (very cheap!) and the fact that we had to pre-pay for breakfast before being allowed into the breakfast area. Such bad taste!"

"I was very impressed by all the staff I interacted with, especially the check-in staff. Had they not went above and beyond, we would have been stranded that night without a room!"

"This was a nice hotel with an excellent restaurant for dinner and the best continental breakfast of our whole trip. We only stayed one night and did not use the spa, which you have to pay extra for, but it is there for those who wish to do so. Close to town and great views of the lake. Seems like they are working to landscape the property as well."

"The property appeared newly renovated and was very clean. The staff were very friendly and we had a nice dinner (fish soup was excellent) and really enjoyed playing cards in the dining hall when we finished our meal. The dining hall had a wonderful playlist and some beautiful artwork of the mountain range to the east, which really created a relaxing atmosphere after a day of traveling. We would stay here again."

"Check-in was not good. Messaged the host a couple times on Expedia but received no check in info. Showed up to the place, and there were no signs pointing where reception was. Ended up just trying a door until someone yelled out me (turns out it was the host). Then the check-in process was quite easy. Not much of a big deal. The place itself is quite nice. It's a legitimate cabin, in the middle of nowhere with a beautiful view of the fjord. Very calm place. And honestly, maybe the check-in...

"We absolutely loved our stay at Ásgeirsstaðir Cottages!! We wish we could have stayed more than just a night, but we had to move along to our next destination. The cottage was perfectly equipped with everything one might need. The beds were comfortable, there was a cozy living room and dining area, and our particular cabin was at the end of the road on the edge of a beautiful lupine patch.
