We had a very pleasant stay at Lux Gran Baie. We stayed for a week at the resort and received an excellent service and careful attention from all staff both for room and food service. Breakfast had a variety of choices ranging from cold buffet, pastries and hot dishes carefully prepared by the chefs which also accommodated my boyfriend’s gluten intolerance. The room was large and well designed with a beautiful bath, open shower and comfy bed. Additionally, we enjoyed the amenities like gym, sauna and private beach, where the sea water was even better than we expected from the pictures! And don’t forget to try the jet ski and snorkeling kindly offered by the resort. A special thank you to Avishka for the warm welcome and kindness throughout the stay.

Exceptional family holiday

Everything about this hotel was on point. The facilities, service, food, kids club. JD the wellness staff member was exceptional and deserves recognition. Because of him we knew all about the hotel, facilities and ability to use the wellness centre at the spa free of charge. Without him we would not have known this. Kids club had kids eat free which was another lovely bonus. Well done Lux a great family holiday had for all the family :-)

Absolutely beautiful property. Well maintained. We loved that there were adult only options for relaxing by the pool. The food was not the best we have ever had but not terrible. Loved that there were multiple places to dine on the property as well. We ended up spending a majority of our time at the resort because it was such a nice space and perfect for resting and recharging our batteries.

The Lux Grand Baie is a beautiful property, service was fantastic except by the main pool, service is lacking by the pool a little. Breakfast is amazing lots of options and great quality food. The beach is beautiful and well maintained. The spa - WOW it was amazing highly recommend. The pool was great had 3 options everything well spaced out so didn’t feel overcrowded. The lobby is stunning and the restaurants were fantastic. Service is 5 star throughout. Our room was super spacious (2 bedroom apartment with a private pool) and so beautiful designed and lots of storage so great for families. It is connected by a bridge which is a 5 min or less walk but a nice walk in the mornings to breakfast would highly recommend especially for family’s who need more space!!

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The architecture is amazing and the views are beautiful. Everywhere is kept clean and you feel at home. The staff were all so welcoming and friendly especially the hotel manager Nicolas! The food from breakfast to dinner was delicious. We also enjoyed a lovely dinner in Ai Ki Su which was made even better by our amazing waiter Oliver. This hotel is most definitely 5* and we will surely be back.

One of the most beautiful and luxurious properties with amazing service. Great place for a family holiday with my 3 year old- lotsa shells to pick instead of broken coral which seems pretty standard for Mauritius. Small beach but lovely. Great pool. Can’t praise it enough. Wished we stayed longer. Our rooms were on the ground floor and was lovely. Food was amazing. Best brekkies on the island and steaks on the Josper grill were delicious! We went to Jw marriot at le morne after and felt really disappointed with the rooms especially after Sugar Beach Mauritius and Lux Grand Baie and wanted to move back to the Lux group to Lux Le Morne but it was full house and staff say it’s always full so book in advance!!!!!

Nice place, but has a maintenance problem

We arrived, nice welcome at check in. We booked the residens, witch is on the obther siden of the road, and the road is quite busy and makes alot of noise. The apartment was really nice, but we soon discovedered that it needed al lot of repaire. One of our fan switch was missing, fauchet in the shower fell off, the other shower was full of mold, our toilet broke down and would not flush and TWICE our aircon in the living erea startet to leak, and was emptied all over the floor. So much time spent with repair men in our apartment… we go a late check our as a ‘were sorry’ but honestly i regret paying full price. Positives, the beach and outsoors is very beautiul and the foor is ok. This there are other high ranked hotels were u would get moore for your money.

We have stayed at several properties in Grand Baie over the years and this property is very good in terms of the building and location, however it is let down (I am scoring on the basis of a 5* resort and in comparison to others nearby) by a very poor check-in (40-45 min wait in lobby followed by issues with booking and having to produce my reservation confirmation), service in the main restaurant can be extremely slow (eg 30 min for a coffee at breakfast and long waits between courses at dinner). However these issues are partially offset by a small number of very good staff whose efforts make the overall experience very good. I dont believe the Lux delivers sufficient uplift in service to justify the uplift in price when compared to neighbouring properties (4* and 5*)

Absolutely Beautiful and Amazing - Lux* Grand Baie Review I recently had the pleasure of staying at Lux* Grand Baie with my pregnant wife and our 3-year-old toddler, and it was hands down the best holiday we've ever had. The resort is absolutely beautiful and amazing in every way. The staff at Lux* Grand Baie deserve special mention—they were extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and well taken care of. We stayed on the ground floor, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Being able to walk out directly to the swimming pool and the beach was a fantastic convenience, especially with a toddler in tow. It added an extra layer of relaxation to our holiday. Although I booked room only, the hotel offered complementary food (in-room service) for my three-year-old, which was a lovely touch and much appreciated. Additionally, the resort offered several complementary excursions such as a glass bottom boat ride, snorkeling, and water skiing, among others. These activities added so much fun and adventure to our stay. The rooms were extremely spacious and beautifully designed, providing a luxurious and comfortable environment for our family. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, making our stay truly special. I would highly recommend Lux* Grand Baie. Whether you're traveling as a couple, with family, or on your own, this resort offers an unparalleled experience.

Close to grand baie town- 15/20 min walk. Good room size, great showers, all basic toiletries and hand towl provided. Excellent beach, lots of beds and private beach. Great acitivies included in room rate and easily accessible
