What a fantastic find, this is our 10th year ski trip with a large group of mixed ages from 12 upwards and this is by far the best hotel we have found which is such great value for money. Although the hotel sits on the outskirts of town this really wasn't an issue as it was the first stop for the ski bus, which then went direct to the ski lift (like our own personal taxi). The Gut Stiluppe just finished its renovation, and while the new parts look stunning, the upgrade has yet to proliferate to all parts of the place activity.
Specifically, it feels the kitchen needs to really improve - morning eggs arrived at odd shapes (like scrambled eggs that weren’t scrambled before fried), and coffee with regular milk after we explained of a lactose intolerance.
I think it will take a bit more time until the service gets to the level of facilities.
