"We were visiting some ancestral homes in and around the area but this location was also really convenient for Cork and Cobh. Eric the host and owner was great - super helpful and checked in every day to make sure all was well. Full shared kitchen stocked with every convenience was also great - as was having a space to hangout besides the room to do some work. Plus fun to meet other guests."

"The hotel is located in the center of this small village. A easy 10 minute walk from the train station. The train station is very basic with a platform and a small covered sitting area, for when it is raining. This village has only two taxi's so planning through pre-booking is a must. On the day of our check-out, even after pre-booking, traffic conditions almost side-railed our next leg of our adventure. The hotel's receptionist, I forgot to ask her name, was very instrumental in getting us...

"The hotel was very nice, and the front staff at the desk were truly amazing. I loved the chocolates and the turndown service of my bed at night. The concierge helped secure my driver back to the airport to begin a non stressing trip home. We totally recommend and would stay here again."

"The rooms are overall comfortable, however during the summer, the lack of AC made it hard to sleep. I saw a cobweb on the ceiling. The tables next to the beds are inadequate. The water in the sink was scalding and I couldn't find cool water until the next morning to wash my hands. Overall, the room was spacious with a tv and a desk. No breakfast which was disappointing for the price. Just ok to spend one night."

"Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Everything worked smoothly, the room was comfortable, and the overall experience was very positive. The only small point to mention is that the rooms can be quite a long walk from the reception and breakfast area. We happened to have one of the furthest rooms, which was a little inconvenient at times, especially with family/luggage. Other than that, everything met our expectations, and we had an enjoyable stay. We would happily stay here again."

"The reception staff were very friendly and efficient - both checkin and checkout went smoothly. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. We appreciates the 5 Euro credit coupon for each day we did not have Housekeeping. We used these to offset costs in the bar/restaurant. We would book again."

"We were in a suite. There was no mini bar, no kettle. Had to go to lower floor parlour for coffee. Only 2 hangers in wardrobe. No lock on bathroom door which was very heavy. No shower screen and water leaked from shower hose soaking floor. No where to hang towels in bathroom. Reception closes at 6pm!"
