"Room was clean, desk chair was abysmal should have been removed thrown out long time ago, sagged incredibly, "complimentary ear plugs" as construction site outside. Paper cups? Really? No coffee making, just a kettle and two tea bags with some sugar and paper cups. They call this 4 star? Great location, way over priced for the product being offered. Stayed at another one of their properties in Busan prior to this one in Seoul. Busan property was AMAZING this one was anything but....."

"The Grand Hyatt Seoul has a fantastic location above Itaewon with beautiful views, and that's about all it has going for it. The service was among the worst I have experienced at a hotel in this category. I repeatedly asked for housekeeping and no one ever came. Turndown service simply doesn't exist here. For a property charging luxury rates, these are basics, not extras.
Credit where it's due: a manager kindly moved me to a renovated room, which was a welcome gesture, and breakfast was decent enough. But one helpful staff member cannot make up for a hotel that seems indifferent to its guests.
If you are considering the Grand Hyatt for a Seoul trip, I would strongly recommend the Four Seasons instead — comparable location in old Seoul, and they actually understand what service means."
