"Amazing stay from pre-check-in to check out. Clean room with amenities. We took our dog and they provided a dog bed, towel, water bowl and treats. Perfect bolthole for a stay away. We sat and played games in the snug area of the bar with an open fire for the afternoon. There’s complimentary canapés from 5:30pm and the restaurant had dishes for all dietary requirements. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We will be returning again."

"Our room was very unique with its lovely 4 poster bed and lovely free standing bath .Lovely fire place and comfy old chair beside it in our room so cozy..We had a fabulous stay food was exquisite and service was lovely ..Cocktails were delicious. Spar was really special especially the outside garden jacuzzi s and sauna. We both feel rejuvenated.Thankyou for a lovely stay."

Room was very spacious and comfortable with a balcony for warmer weather - lovely views to the other side. Decor is somewhat dated and bathroom could do with update but everything scrupulously clean, loads of hot water and everything very comfortable. Could not have asked for more."

The hotel kindly allowed a later check out with a prompt and polite response to our request. Check in was efficient and simple. The evening meal was superb - great value and the pavlova! Wow! Chef’s kiss! All in all - a beautiful historic building and a really enjoyable stay. We will return I am sure. "
