We were given a room overlooking the busy ring road and the noise meant keeping windows closed. Car parking was £10 a day which seemed excessive as the space was right outside the hotel seemingly on their own land...

This includes fees for bottled water, baby cribs, table fans, and even a late checkout of 30 minutes. The staff is minimal and often stretched thin, so expect limited room service. The building is quite old and shows signs of neglect and poor maintenance."

"Nice hotel the parking was a joke £11 a night I would have got a better deal in London wife as a blue badge the hotel did not want to know holiday inn express are not a disable friendly hotel which spoilt the day I parked down the road life is hard looking after wife Iwon’t be staying at this hotel again"

"Loads of parking and I was made to feel welcome as soon as I entered the building. I was shown to my room and felt very well looked after. I ate in the restaurant both for evening meal and breakfast and the food was superb!"

"There is a multistorey car park across the road which in July 26 was £9.50 for up to 24 hours. Maybe could have got parking much cheaper by moving the car to the street after 6pm and again at 8:30am back to the multistorey but didn't want to mess about. Breakfast across the road at the Italian was superb! As is their coffee. The accommodation would benefit from the carpet replacing, a second opening window installing and another fan plus a furniture move around to provide more usable space. A...

"Thoroughly enjoyed my stay of just over 2 weeks. All the staff were so kind and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Had a lovely top floor single room an nice skylight window. The Continental breakfast was good with plenty of choice. The Grab and Go breakfast was a good option too. The Italian Restaurant was great and open for lunch and dinner. "Nice building but we were put on the top floor and we asked to move due to my mum being disabled (they don't have lifts) and the people in the room next to ours were noisy, the person we talked to was very nice and told us we could stay in another room on the ground floor.
