"Well located for shops and both Exeter Main and St. Davids railway stations. My room was compact but well thought out and well equipped. It was great to have a light next to the bed which you could turn off/on easily and the shower was good. Breakfast was first class, beautifully served and coffee one of the best. I would have liked more savoury options for the breakfast but that is just a small preference. Host was really helpful and very welcoming. I would stay here again."

It took two phone calls to find out if there was somewhere to eat on a Sunday evening. Breakfast was quite nice. Evening meal in the Bistro was very average. The coffee in the room was nescafe instant sachets which was very disappointing for 4* hotel, and the decaf at breakfast was also nescafe instant. However, the price we paid was very good.
