"Loved the hotel and the room but our experience was tainted by the supercilious receptionist when we checked in. He was condescending and unhelpful. Spoke in a patronizing way when I asked whether my credit card would be charged after he demanded the actual card for security purposes.
Then when we asked about the northern lights he just pointed at a form on the counter, no explanation or anything.
A beautiful hotel let down by a receptionist who clearly finds it too taxing to greet new...

"We travelled mid- September. We really enjoyed our stay. The location was very convenient for walking the town or accessing hiking trails. The view from the guesthouse is fabulous. The host was on site when we arrived and back again in the morning which was nice. The kitchen and eating area were fabulous. We had the opportunity to do our laundry. We had a room upstairs and there was one WC and a separate shower area. There was a second shower downstairs. Bonus points for a great coffee machine...

"Coming into Seydisfjordur was like driving into a fairytale. A stunning area. Checking into this property was the icing on the cake. The property was impeccable. A modern farmhouse feel that was clean and over the top amazing! We all wanted to stay longer, and we would recommend staying a lot longer in this area."

"Easy checkin. Great, convenient location with easy parking. We were able to see northern lights from the park across the street. Room was clean. Be aware a little warning if you are sensitive to damp scent, but it was not at all bothersome to our stay. We had a great time and would recommend!"
