"No complaints about my stay! I went for a staycation for a night with my 4 year old son and it was perfect. Staff were super friendly and helpful. "Booked a stay here with my partner ahead of our wedding at Parkwood Historic site. The location is close and quiet. Overall vibe of the place was good too. Additionally, staff were super helpful in accommodating my requests related to my wedding. Would recommend wedding couples to stay here in the future."

"Loved everything! Never done B&B and I think I was spoiled. Spacious room, Nice bed, pillows, lighting, t.v, jacuzzi tub, or shower and an eclectic mix of items and paintings/photos to look at. Also you will not get breakfast like that at a hotel. Served when YOU are ready to eat. My kind of place. Martin and Petra are kind and direct hosts. If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again."

"Very comfortable and welcoming place! A real hidden gem not too far away from the city. The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!"

"When arriving, the front doesn’t look very good. There are overgrown trees, vines growing up the building and the front steps didn’t look very nice. We wanted to check in early but was told there was a $45 early check in fee and our room was ready. We only wanted to drop OFF our suitcases. Not very good PR.
