"The room was impeccable. Very clean. It was a very large room with a partial view of the lake which was beautiful. It had a very clean kitchen which we did not use during our one night stay. The staff were very friendly and provided good customer service. The pool was nice and felt private as no one was there. The hot tub was great too! "To us this was a hidden gem. It is far from everything but that makes it really nice and cozy. We went in winter and enjoyed the hot outside pool with snow in the surrounding area. If you come from Toronto area please expect winter conditions to last longer in the hotel area. Excellent food in the pub at night, staff couldn't be more pleasant helpful and polite. Even the fitness centre was very nice."

"Room was clean and fully stocked. Winter activities did not live up to expectations. Equipment available (snowshoes) but no where to use it. No trails or even suggestions of where we could go to snowshoe. Snow and ice removal could have been improved. Limited parking due to snow. Ice buildup on road to our building and on stairs to our room was very dangerous!"

"staff were amazing, literally all of them. The building is being renovated by complete amateurs though and there were no notices when booking. Water issues, painting everywhere, shotty work even while spreading grout over tile with salt and mud on them just kept spreading the grout. Hotel is dated left right and center so them doing the lobby is for astetics. Pool is outdated, woods moldy, carpets gross. Is what it is though. "

"The room was only $55 more per night than a “budget friendly” one nearby. It was worth it. All the staff members were very friendly and helpful. The room was large, had club chairs in front of an electric fireplace, jacuzzi tub, large TV, mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker (with coffee). The included breakfast was very good, lots of food choices, lots of drink choices. Everything was very clean. Excellent stay. Would definitely stay there again. "
