For dinner, you can enjoy a variety of delicious options for about US$20, making it a great value considering the quality and local flavors. Additionally, there’s a covered pool inside a dome, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring or skiing. Although the drive to the ski fields involves some thrilling hairpin switchbacks, it’s well worth it. Being able to stay in this peaceful haven rather than in more commercialized and expensive options closer to the slopes made my trip so much more relaxing. It truly felt like a home away from home with its warm and welcoming atmosphere. If you're looking for an affordable yet authentic Andean experience, I highly recommend Refugio Atreyu.
