"If you really like old style hotel, this is ok. My main complain is bed being too soft and no air condition. The location is ok, but still a bit far away from town center. The breakfast is good. TV is too small."

"Rooms were nice and clean but we had an annoying noise coming from an air vent inside a wardrobe that drove us wild, made them aware and they attempted a bodge to cover it up but it still persisted and spoiled our sleep. The only other complaint is when we were dining a family with young children had been eating beside us and the kids had food on the floor, due to the hot weather there were a lot of flies about and they were congrigating around the food on the floor. "We had a lovely spacious room and bathroom that were comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower was powerful, however, there was a gap between the screen and the bath so the bathroom got soaked every time we used it. The room doors need a soft close mechanism fitted to stop people from constantly slamming doors. The breakfast was not too bad but could do with some more cold options. The breakfast tables are very sticky! Overall we had a lovely stay."

In fact, encounters with the staff from bartender, restaurant and housekeeping were all friendly, engaging, and positive. "The quality of the breakfast was excellent with local quality produce where possible and the staff were helpful and polite. Good onsite private parking. Unfortunately the room was poor, on the second floor in the attic with sloping roof, it felt claustrophobic. The Bed was a small double the tv was small the bathroom was tiny with nowhere to put washbag etc. basically ok as a single but not a double. It was also extremely hot with only a small window for ventilation."
