We had a blocked sink and the water wasn’t very warm despite setting to maximum. I understand other guests had similar issues. "The overall property is in need of care. It is a very interesting, almost grand building but it needs refurbishing and better maintenance. The staff was welcoming and tried to be helpful (see below) We had reserved a room with air conditioning. It did not work. We were told that the system would be replaced by the summer! We asked for a fan, we were given a small broken clip fan, we made it work somehow. The food at the temporary restaurant was limited in choice and quality because of ongoing...

"Breakfast was included with the room which was wonderful. It was delicious and they had gluten free toast for me, which was lovely. The staff has been especially kind and helpful, and much I needed Since my plans changed after I checked out and had to check back in, they honored the rate I had previously booked. They are also within a lovely walking distance of beautiful gardens and the river and the downtown area. Highly recommended hotel. "

"Lovely seaside hotel with friendly staff and super breakfast. Room was very small…. Never stayed in such a small room. Paid for a double but it was a single at best. Bed side tables were tiny shelves. Uncomfortable as a result, It was, however, very clean. "

"We stayed here for one night over the weekend, a pretty little property around 30 minutes walk from central Canterbury. This wasn't too much of an issue as we are happy to walk but it was further than anticipated. We slept so well in the soft bed and liked our little room. When we arrived however there was a brown stain in the toilet and although we flushed it a few times, it would always come back which suggests plumping needs a look at. Says 4 rooms on website but there are 6 and they are...

"Small single room, nicely decorated and simply furnished. Fabulous view of the cathedral. The place is clean and quiet, I loved it and when I can afford it I will definitely stay again. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful. The breakfast was also really nice and the dining room is very calm and comfortable. One little niggle, the shower was very small and not very powerful. "

"We enjoyed staying at this Premier Inn which was a 10 minute walk into town. The room was clean and spacious. The meals were delicious and the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and it was £10 a night. We would stay again. "
